Ken Harbaugh grew up in a military family, the son and grandson of Air Force combat pilots. He followed in the family footsteps and became a Navy pilot leading reconnaissance missions in the Middle East and off of North Korea. After his military service, Harbaugh became a leading advocate for veterans to continue to serving in their communities.
Harbaugh will discuss his time as the president of Team Rubicon Global, a disaster relief organization that has helped train over 50,000 veterans to deploy in emergency response teams around the world. Team Rubicon recently engaged in its largest efforts ever with teams deployed in Texas, Puerto Rico, Florida, and Dominica.
At 7pm, on Monday, March 5th, disaster relief expert Ken Harbaugh will address the Veterans Roundtable hosted by Medina County District Library giving a talk entitled, “Military Humanitarians: Deploying Veterans as Emergency Responders and Civic Leaders.”
“Now more than ever, we must recognize our veterans as national assets—both in and out of uniform,” said Ken Harbaugh. “Every vet has sworn an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. And our ability to engage military women and men in continued service makes our communities and our democracy stronger.”
